Graphic overlays are manufactured from premium sheets of clear material (predominantly polycarbonate or polyester). A variety of surface textures can be selected to achieve a customized aesthetic and, critically, ensure specific levels of scratch and abrasion resistance for extended durability. These high-performance sheets are precisely printed and die-cut in multiple configurations to adapt directly to specific user applications.
Engineered between 3 and 20 mils in thickness (with 10 mils being standard), our graphic overlays utilize a sub-surface reverse-printing process. The ink is printed on the back side of the clear substrate, allowing it to be clearly viewed through the protective material while completely shielding the artwork between the front layer and the mounting adhesive.
Polycarbonate (also known as Lexan) is a strong, lightweight, and impact-resistant plastic commonly used for graphic overlays in industrial and medical applications. It is renowned for its high degree of optical clarity and rugged endurance.
PET is an optimal selection for graphic overlays requiring high chemical resistance, robust durability, and superior transparency. It features outstanding resistance to tearing, shrinking, and stretching under demanding conditions.
Acrylic provides exceptional optical clarity and dependable scratch resistance. It is standardly chosen for display-facing graphic overlays, premium consumer electronics interfaces, and automotive instrumentation screens.
