What is the minimum order quantity for a custom membrane switch?

Many standard constructions can be prototyped from 1 to 10 pieces. Volume production MOQs typically range from 100 to 500 pieces depending on layer stack, tooling, backlighting and circuit type.

What information do you need to start a membrane switch project?

A 2D drawing (DXF, DWG, AI or PDF), artwork with Pantone colors, key layout, tactile or non-tactile requirement, tail and connector type, operating environment and annual quantity. Our engineers return a DFM review with layer stack recommendations.

Can your membrane keypads be waterproof?

Yes. With sealed perimeter adhesives, sealed tail exits and appropriate overlay materials, membrane switches can be designed for IP65 to IP67 protection, suitable for outdoor, medical and kitchen appliance use.

Which adhesives do you use for mounting?

We commonly use 3M 467MP and 3M 9448A adhesives, selected according to the mounting surface (metal, powder-coated, ABS, textured plastic) and the temperature range of the application.

Do you manufacture thin-film pressure sensors?

Yes. We produce carbon paste and silver ink force sensitive resistor (FSR) films for seat occupancy detection, foot pressure measurement and wearable devices, with PET or FPC tails.
